Joelle got a sticker book for Christmas, and she got the idea to do four scenes: a house full of pets, a grassland, an ocean, and a farm. We spent a few hours doing this, and it was a hoot.
Rick and I take turns reading to the kids at bedtime. We do this every night, rain or shine, energetic or exhausted. Despite the exhaustion, it’s one of my favourite times of our day.
This winter has been brutal in Ottawa, but for a few brief hours today, we heard gurgling water and birds singing. I sighted this bare street drain, something I hadn’t seen in weeks. It’s ugly, but it made me happy.
